Flood of Reports of Myocarditis
CDC emails and messages FOIA’d by Zach Stieber of the Epoch Times show that CDC officials, including John Su, who oversees VAERS safety analysis, were alarmed by a flood of reports from doctors and hospitals across the country that teens were experiencing vaccine-induced myocarditis.
You can access all of the FOIA’d messages HERE.
CDC Knew Myocarditis Underreported in VAERS
In addition to the alarming number of unsolicited reports of myocarditis (and other heart issues), CDC officials knew that myocarditis was underreported in VAERS. John Su, whose job is to oversee VAERS for the CDC, wrote to colleagues on May 17, 2021 noting that he couldn’t find some of the reported cases in VAERS. This should be no surprise to anyone who has dealt with these issues over the last two years - we KNOW that VAERS is underreported by some unknown factor. Steve Kirsch and others have estimated that the underreporting factor is somewhere in the neighborhood of 40x.
It’s unclear whether Su is surprised by the underreporting, but this email shows that CDC knew for certain that there was underreporting and that VAERS did not reflect anywhere near the true rate of incidence for myocarditis.
Confirmed: Israel and DOD Warned CDC About Myocarditis
Su’s email about underreporting also confirms that Israel and the Department of Defense had already raised the alarm about vaccine-induced myocarditis.
[CDC’s John Su:] Re: myocarditis - I’m sure you’re aware Israel and the DoD have both noted a proportion of persons developing myocarditis after COVID-19 vaccinations.
These warning came even earlier in 2021 than is reflected in these CDC messages from May of 2021. Why, then, did CDC wait until late June of 2021 to alert the public about these issues? We can only speculate that their overriding concern was “success” of the mass vaccination program, and not the health and safety of those considering whether to take the vaccine. This long delay also allowed colleges and universities to implement vaccine mandates for the very population most at risk of myocarditis and other heart issues.
REDACTED: Did CDC Calculate a Safety Signal?
For most of 2022, CDC insisted that they never calculated a single PRR “safety signal” for the COVID vaccines. PRR stands for Proportional Reporting Ratio, and is the CDC’s standard safety signal calculation from VAERS reports. Later in 2022, the CDC admitted that they had in fact calculated PRRs for adverse events and these were recently obtained through FOIA.
Curiously, a heavily redacted series of emails between John Su and Tom Shimabukuro has the subject line: "Subject: PRR for myocarditis." However, the contents of the emails are almost completely redacted. Did CDC in fact already calculate a PRR for myocarditis in May of 2021? Either they did calculate one and continue to lie about it, or perhaps they simply decided not to calculate one, knowing that the results would show a clear “safety signal.”
On what basis did CDC justify all the redactions? These are Civil Servants paid for by taxpayers, who have a right to know what they were discussing. There can only be one reason for wishinbg to hide the discussuin. FOIA is SUPPOSED to be about transparency in Government?
The other issue here is that vaccines are truly a special case because unlike other pharmaceutical interventions, they are given to healthy individuals. There is, therefore an even higher standard of "safety" to maintain and the risk/benefit calculation must be highly favorable.
In the case of ALL earlier vaccines, thexplains why even after low double digit reports of deaths, the vaccines were immediately stopped. So something has obviously changed. The KEY questions here is WHAT has changed and WHY?
